EU Communication

Capturing Europe's story, one video at a time.
We are One - United in Diversity

State of the European Union by Ursula von der Leyen
My Erasmus exchange in Iceland during 2010-2011 changed my life in the most fundamental way, igniting my passion for videomaking by capturing the special moments around us when a simple group from across Europe came together. This experience motivated me to try to inspire people with my videos to go abroad and experience the world, appreciating the unity and diversity of Europe. Starting as a volunteer, I now have over 10 years of experience dedicated to supporting and promoting the European Project.

Creating compelling content that highlights EU initiatives, programs, and achievements. Ideal for social media campaigns, informational purposes, and public outreach.

Educational and Training Videos:

They remain timeless reminders for me of a decade of dreams filled with creativity, inspiration, and unforgettable stories.

"A Lonely Dance" was conceptualised during the first lockdown in March 2020 when I saw my city completely empty and I wanted to capture this historical moment.
Young Europeans from the Erasmus Generation
This video with ESN was filmed during the first Erasmus Generation Meeting (EGM) 2022 and I tried to answer the question: How do you explain to your Mum what you do and why you are volunteering?

beautiful wedding ceremony of the couple walking down the aisle
When Matt and Inês invited me to their wedding I told them that there is no way around it but that I would film their wedding. We all three met back in 2014 when we started volunteering in the ESN International Communicaton Committee and experienced countless events together. Congratulations again for both of you.

Wedding ceremony of two friends in Latvia
Patrick and Krista invited me to their wedding in Latvia, the least I could do as a wedding gift was to capture their day together. We also met I think back in 2012-2013 while volunteering in ESN Dortmund. Time flies but the love stays.

FAQ:

How much does a video cost?
As every lawyer will tell you: "It depends..."

On the one hand I offer Instant-Video Production for a fixed amount of 1.000€/half day and 2.000€/day in the Lake Constance Area and Internationally at 3.000€/day (+1k for each additional day abroad) when I'm covering events with multiple short videos for social media throughout the day and create the final video directly afterwards. At the same time I'm taking pictures which will be delivered on the same day.
Click here for more information on Instant-Videos.

Every regular video production has it's own needs and the cost depends on various factors such as the scope, complexity, and specific requirements of the project as well as how many videos shall be produced. The more budget we have available for our production the higher the production value will also be when it comes to planning time, equipment, crew size, location etc. But check below some of the main points to consider:

  1. Pre-production: Scriptwriting, storyboarding, location scouting, and planning.
  2. Production: Camera equipment, lighting, audio equipment, crew salaries, and travel expenses.
  3. Post-production: Editing, color correction, sound design, special effects, and graphics.
  4. Licensing and Royalties: Costs associated with music licensing, stock footage, or other intellectual property.
  5. Project Management: Coordination, communication, and project management efforts throughout the production.
  6. Miscellaneous Expenses: Any additional expenses unique to the project, such as permits, props, or specific gear requirements.
What services do you offer?
Video Production is my core business with all its aspects from script to screen and I can take photos at your event at the same time while filming. With all aspects during our production I have the approach for active communication consulting to let my clients know if I see a better way to reach the production objective beyond the current production idea. Additionally I also offer:

  • Video Editing: Transforming raw footage into polished and impactful videos, ensuring seamless transitions, engaging visual effects, and cohesive storytelling.
  • Aerial Videography and Photography: Utilizing drone technology to capture stunning aerial perspectives, adding a dynamic and captivating element to your videos and images.
  • Livestreaming: Facilitating real-time broadcasts of events, conferences, or special occasions, allowing your audience to participate virtually from anywhere in the world.
  • Animation: Incorporating animated elements to enhance storytelling, explain complex concepts, and create visually engaging content.
  • Live Reporting on Events: Providing on-location social media assets in real-time, keeping your audience informed and engaged throughout the event.
  • Virtual Tours: Creating immersive and interactive experiences that allow your audience to explore spaces, venues, or locations virtually.
  • Graphic Design: Crafting eye-catching visuals, logos, and branding elements that align with your brand identity and reinforce your message.
  • Social Media Channel Support and Management: Developing and executing social media strategies, optimizing content, and managing online presence to drive engagement and growth.

I have a last minute request is it possible?
Yes, last minute requests are possible.

Please keep in mind that I'm usually fully booked at least 2-3 months in advance with
multiple projects running simultaneously and I'm planning my production schedules accordingly.

A last minute request will mean an increase in workload and working overtime on my side which will be charged at a higher rate.
Do you work alone or in a team?
Most projects I do are usually planned as a one man production and most of my projects you see here on my website I have executed as a one-man production video hobbit army but always in close collaboration with my clients who organised the events, took care of locations or interview partners.

Some productions require multiple people on set and in this case I can reach out to my vast network of professionals and fill the needs.
Do you handle all aspects of production, including scripting and editing?
Yes. Since I'm working as a video producer for over 10 years I will also handle all aspects of the production in close collaboration with my clients. This way you only have one contact point throughout the entire project.
How long does it take to receive the final product?
Instant Event Videos will be done on the spot almost instantaneously and everything will be delievered before the end of the day.

Regular productions on the other hand can take a few weeks to months including the pre-production to develop the narrative, find interview partners and locations all the way through the production days and post-production. While filming and editing can be quite fast it usually takes the most time to receive feedback from high stakes projects until everyone had time to provide feedback.

Slate productions where we produce a whole series of videos can take several months up to years as well depending on the project scope and framework contract.
Can I get a discount by providing exposure?
Please check this link if you want to know more.
