The original Video-Hobbit when I started really getting into filming during my Erasmus Exchange in 2010.

When I began studying Philosophy, people often asked me what job I hoped to pursue afterward (spoiler alert: Video-Hobbit). Many seemed surprised that I was studying purely out of interest, not as a means to an end.

My early exposure to Aristotelian Virtue Ethics in my teenage years instilled in me a belief that education isn’t about earning a degree — it’s about engaging the mind in a lifelong pursuit of knowledge and understanding. As a graduate in Philosophy (MA) and Psychology (BA), I’ve always embraced learning as a daily practice.

This mindset naturally translated into my passion for videomaking, where my drive to create better videos is rooted in constant learning and a commitment to improving my craft. For me, there’s always something new to discover and something to refine—both in life and in the stories I tell through video.
