About a Video-Hobbit:

Yes, my professional job title is "Video-Hobbit" (it has nothing to do with my hight) but more about the way I love to work. One week I'm out in the world filming a big event in Paris, Madrid or Berlin and then I come home to edit in my lovely Konstanz, a small and quiet town on the shores of Lake Constance in southern Germany. Back home I'm editing, planning my next mission and take care of everything in life before the next mission takes me out again into the world and I love this mix. 

​I handle every aspect of production usually myself, from the initial shoot to the final edit, but I never work alone. This means you will have a single contact point since I love collaborating with my clients and project partners. Together, we visualise your ideas.

The Doodt Media Brand:

The Doodt Media Logo consists of the two initials D and M with the Runes Dagaz and Mannaz. The runes Dagaz and Mannaz are two ancient symbols from the Nordic runic alphabet, known as the Elder Futhark. Dagaz (Day) represents the concept of dawn and new beginnings, symbolizing hope and positive change. On the other hand, Mannaz (Human) represents the self and humanity, embodying the qualities of cooperation, communication, and self-awareness.

The company logo, incorporating the runes Dagaz and Mannaz, reflects the idea of new beginnings, progress, and the power of collective human effort and communication.

​For me Dagaz-Mannaz reprensents self-actualisation or the "Dawn of Humanity", symbolizing the hope and positive change that comes from finding one's calling.
This is inspired by my Erasmus exchange in Iceland during 2010-2011, which  was a pivotal moment in my life when I saw a group of students from all over Europe play football and said "I have to film this!!!".

This also ignited my passion for video making and capturing special moments that happen all the time and sharing them to the world. I hope that this logo and the Doodt Media Brand will inspire others to find their own passions and talents in what they love, just as my time in Iceland helped me discover mine. The Doodt Media Logo as well as the slogan "Doodt Media. Ideas. Visualised." are registered trademarks.

I hope that it will bring good luck and blessings to all who are touched by it. The best is yet to come...

The Doodt Media Story:

It all started on my Erasmus+ Exchange in Iceland back in 2010 when I said: "I have to film this!" to capture my adventure abroad. Upon my return I joined the Erasmus Student Network in my local section in Dortmund and due to a viral video "The Erasmus Trailer" from 2013 became the first Video Director of ESN International for the new flagship project Mov'in Europe in 2014. By the end of 2014 and through the experiences from my time volunteering I knew I wanted to do this forever and registered Doodt Films as a small business enterprise.

After graduating from my Masters in 2017 I went directly into fulltime videomaking, learning, growing and overcoming (+surviving) the hardships of being a solo entrepreneur. Growing with my projects over the years I took the next step in 2022 with the preparation and finally 2023 with the implementation to change the legal status of business from me as a natural person into its' own legal entity the Doodt Media GmbH.
