I had the great privilege of collaborating with ICF Next on an exciting and meaningful project for the European Commission. This initiative, part of the General Online Training for the European Solidarity Corps (ESC), involved producing a series of Youth Talks. These inspiring speeches, given by young people from across Europe, were performed in front of live audiences and recorded. My Role as a Videomaker: In my role as a videomaker, I was responsible for recording and editing these powerful speeches organized by ICF Next. Each Youth Talk showcased the creativity and energy of Europe's young people, and I am proud to have played a part in bringing their voices to a broader audience. Overview of the European Solidarity Corps (ESC): The European Solidarity Corps aims to build a more inclusive society by supporting vulnerable people and addressing societal challenges. It offers young people an empowering experience to help, learn, and develop. Participants uphold values such as solidarity, respect for human dignity, human rights, and the promotion of a fair and equal society. They strive to enhance solidarity, respect cultures and traditions, and build communities of shared responsibilities and mutual support. General Online Training for the European Solidarity Corps: The General Online Training (GOT) platform for the ESC is an excellent resource and training course for current and prospective volunteers to get the most out of their ESC experience. This platform offers comprehensive training through various modules, providing valuable insights and practical tips for participants. Youth Talks Highlights Video and Trailer

Project Overview: I had the opportunity to produce a series of 13 videos for the Konstanz Science Forum on Climate Change hosted by the University of Konstanz. The videos ranged from main presentations that explained scientific topics discussed during the conference to various social media assets like teaser animations and trailers in different social media friendly formats. Additionally, I created exclusive videos shown at the conference to introduce upcoming topics. Special thanks to the amazing team of the University of Konstanz for the great and productive collaboration. Background Information: The Konstanz Science Forum hosted a new interactive edition focusing on climate change. This popular series brought together scientists, experts, and practitioners to explain the complexities of climate change, offer expert opinions, and provide insights into practical work related to the climate crisis. The climate crisis presents unprecedented challenges not only to politics and society but also to the scientific community across all disciplines. The forum aimed to address pressing questions and tasks associated with climate change. The public was invited to engage in a dynamic hybrid format that included lectures, interviews, short films, and expert talks. This event took place on November 11th and 12th, 2022, and was structured around three thematic dimensions of climate change: the physical, biological, and societal aspects, each focusing on its core issues. The recorded sessions and selected contributions are available on the University of Konstanz's Website and YouTube channel, offering continued access to the forum's valuable insights.
I had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with ICF Next on a meaningful project within the framework of the General Online Training for the European Solidarity Corps (ESC). We visited an ecovillage in Northern Italy to document volunteer activities and sustainable practices, creating seven videos focusing on Nature, Energy, Transport, Waste, Climate Anxiety, Industries, and an introductory piece. Each video was designed to explore and illustrate different facets of sustainable living within the ecovillage. From innovative waste management solutions to strategies for reducing climate anxiety, we aimed to provide practical examples of how individuals and communities can embrace a more sustainable lifestyle. The introductory video set the stage by presenting the ecovillage and its overarching principles. The primary goal of these videos was to offer real-life examples and tangible insights into sustainable practices. By integrating these videos into the various modules of the GOT platform, we aimed to enhance the learning experience for current and prospective ESC volunteers. My Involvement: As the videomaker, I was responsible for recording and editing these videos together with the team from ICF Next. Each video was designed to highlight the practical and inspiring ways the ecovillage promotes sustainable living, offering viewers a glimpse into how they can contribute at home to a more sustainable future. Through this project, we aimed to bring the voices and experiences of the volunteers to a broader audience, showcasing the importance of environmental stewardship and communal living.
The University of Konstanz commissioned me again in 2022 to produce four short films that were shown during the Dies Academicus before the award ceremonies. The purpose of these films was to provide the audience with a clear and engaging understanding of the achievements for which the awards were given. Background: The Dies Academicus is an annual academic holiday at the University of Konstanz that serves as an opportunity to reflect on the past academic year. During this event, the university honors outstanding members and award winners while offering insights into current research and teaching activities.
The four films were specifically designed to:
As part of the European Green Deal, ICF Next developed a 360° communications strategy for the European Commission to engage young Europeans in over 70 regional green projects and promote sustainable travelling. My involvement: My role in this project was to be the video editor to create over 100 assets from the material that was collected by 15 Influencers like Instagram Stories and Posts, YouTube Ads, Teasers/Trailers and a project Summary video as seen on the project summary below for the launch of the Climate Pact.
