Event video and photography captured and delivered on the same day.I had the pleasure to join the Business Network International from the region of Konstanz to cover the Lakebrunch on ship Gunzo. We started at around 9:00 to board the ship and enjoyed several inspiring speeches and countless networking opportunities. The final video below incl. photography coverage was delivered on the same day. Photography coverage at the same time.Instant-Coverage for Videos and Photography at cyberLAGO Anniversary with same day delivery6/6/2024 An aftermovie directly at the end of the event?I had the pleasure to cover the 10th anniversary of cyberLAGO e.V. - The Digital Competence Network at Lake Constance and cover the event with my Instant-Video and Photography service. As one of the highlights of the event, while the final dinner and networking was in progress, the Aftermovie was edited and shown directly at the end of the event. Next to the Instant-Video I also captured and delivered photos:Reactions:"Unbelievable: When Andreas Owen and I spoke the closing words on stage at our anniversary celebration, the film for the event was already edited. You have to imagine this: Patrick Doodt comes (alone), films the stage program, takes many great photos of it almost on the side, AND edits the film simultaneously, so it’s finished just before the end of the program. I find that incredible. Great job, dear Patrick, thank you very much!"

Instant-Aftermovie at the end of the day:Photography while filmingThe event was also covered with photos that were taken, edited and delivered on the same day.
Thank you ESN for the journey of a decade of dreams. With the upcoming Erasmus Generation Meeting (EGM) from the Erasmus Student Network, which will be the largest ESN Gathering ever, I was interviewed by ESN about my volunteering journey and the new Erasmus Video will premiere at EGM on Sunday 07.04. during the closing ceremony.
Check out the article on the ESN Blog about my story: Filming the Erasmus Generation Meeting, a Study Visit for EFEE and Stock FootageIn late March and early April I'm going on tour across Europe to film two events and planned the filming of stock footage before and after the shooting days.
You can find my stock footage selection for licensing below: The journey began in 2013, with the viral success of my first little video "Welcome to Erasmus - If Erasmus had a Trailer" which is still being used in ESN at the start of the semesters across Europe 10 years later.
The turning point came in 2014 when I joined as the video director for the flagship project Mov'in Europe of ESN International. The Annual General Meeting in Milano saw the premiere of my first video in front of a captivated audience of 1000 people. As the room fell silent, the realization hit me – "Shit man, it's working!?!?!" It was in that moment that I knew I wanted to dedicate my life to this craft. The journey continued with the creation of videos that I now call my Erasmus Classics such as the ESN Recruitment Video "Erasmus Encore" and the ESN Imagefilm "#THISisESN." In 2014 and motivated by the reactions to my videos from the international community, I officially registering my small business as a freelancer on October 30th. Post-graduation in 2016 the question was still open if videomaking can sustain me both creatively and financially? However, 2017 marked a turning point, coinciding with the 30th anniversary of Erasmus+. Opportunities poured in, a testament to the connections forged during my time with ESN. Navigating through the highs and lows, the past two years witnessed a transformative process, elevating my small business to the status of a corporation in Germany (Einzelunternehmer zur GmbH). With the foundation laid, I find myself in a state of immense happiness, motivation, and relaxation, ready to embark on new projects and plans. Already booked until the end of 2024, every upcoming venture feels like a bonus. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported me over the past decade and believed in both me and my skills. Here's to the next chapter of Doodt Media – a decade of dreams turned into a reality. Thank you for being part of this incredible journey! 🎬✨ #DoodtMedia #VideographyMilestone #ADecadeOfDream How can we motivate Alumni from a University to join the Alumni Association? With this question in mind we conceptualised in close collaboration with the University of Freiburg Alumni Association the new alumni-film. The video emphasizes how alumni support is instrumental in sustaining the university's excellent research and teaching. It particularly highlights the Alumni Club's role in promoting financial assistance for students in need, fostering equality of opportunities, and granting researchers the flexibility to focus on their work. Furthermore it also highlighted the benefits of the alumni network on an institutional level with the example of a renovation of a lecture hall which will benefit the generations to come. Capturing Moments of Impact: Documenting FPI's Global Engagement at the Paris Peace Forum24/11/2023 FPI Mission 1: Paris Peace Forum
I'm excited to share a snippet from my recent lens adventure at the Paris Peace Forum, where I had the privilege of working with Stantec by documenting the European Commission's Foreign Policy Instruments (FPI).
Three services provided:
3 Projects to Promote Peace
During our mission in Paris we focused on three projects which are supported by FPI. It was incredible to see over 60 initatives from all over the world being presented at the Paris Peace Forum
Filming and meeting Legends
What added a special touch were the encounters with inspiring leaders like Jacinda Ardern and Oleksandra Matviichuk.
Meeting Jacinda Ardern, the former Prime Minister of New Zealand, was a highlight. Her leadership style, seamlessly balancing the demands of public service and personal life, left a lasting impression. It's not every day you come across a leader so grounded and inspiring.
Engaging in conversation with Oleksandra Matviichuk, a Nobel Peace Prize laureate in 2022, was an enlightening experience. During our interview conducted by Gilles Gasser we delved into the pivotal role of women in conflicts, shedding light on perspectives that often go unnoticed.
Mission 2: Guadalajara International Book Fair
This weekend we are collaborating with a local team of videomakers and photographers to cover the second mission and participation of the EU as a Guest of Honor at the Guadalajara International Book Fair. More infos coming soon.
I am excited to share a remarkable collaboration that I had the privilege of being a part of over the past months. Working closely with the University of Freiburg, one of Germany's oldest and most prestigious institutions, we embarked on a project to bring their new mission statement to life—a mission deeply rooted in values that have shaped the university's legacy. Link: https://leitbild.uni-freiburg.de/ Our approach was straightforward yet profound. Rather than simply talking about these values, we sought to illustrate how they are woven into the fabric of daily life at the university. To achieve this, we set out to capture and share the real-life stories of members within the university community. These stories served as living embodiments of Quality, Openness, and Responsibility. A key factor in the success of this project was meticulous pre-production planning. We left no room for uncertainty, planning the shooting day down to the minute. This precision allowed us to film everything in a single day, minimizing disruption to the busy schedules of our interview partners.
By conducting pre-interviews, we not only ensured that our interviewees were comfortable and well-prepared but also strategically connected the three stories. We knew exactly which aspects to focus on once the cameras were rolling, resulting in a more efficient and impactful production process. As viewers follow the narratives of these remarkable individuals, they also embark on a visual journey through our picturesque campus where we can show some of the most important spots. What makes this project even more captivating is the seamless transition from one story to another. At the moments when these individuals cross paths, we not only showcase the beauty of our campus but also symbolize the profound interconnectedness that defines our vibrant community. I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the University of Freiburg for entrusting me with this significant project. It has been an incredible and productive journey, one that highlights the enduring commitment of this institution to its values and its community. |
