I had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with ICF Next on a meaningful project within the framework of the General Online Training for the European Solidarity Corps (ESC). We visited an ecovillage in Northern Italy to document volunteer activities and sustainable practices, creating seven videos focusing on Nature, Energy, Transport, Waste, Climate Anxiety, Industries, and an introductory piece. Each video was designed to explore and illustrate different facets of sustainable living within the ecovillage. From innovative waste management solutions to strategies for reducing climate anxiety, we aimed to provide practical examples of how individuals and communities can embrace a more sustainable lifestyle. The introductory video set the stage by presenting the ecovillage and its overarching principles. The primary goal of these videos was to offer real-life examples and tangible insights into sustainable practices. By integrating these videos into the various modules of the GOT platform, we aimed to enhance the learning experience for current and prospective ESC volunteers. My Involvement: As the videomaker, I was responsible for recording and editing these videos together with the team from ICF Next. Each video was designed to highlight the practical and inspiring ways the ecovillage promotes sustainable living, offering viewers a glimpse into how they can contribute at home to a more sustainable future. Through this project, we aimed to bring the voices and experiences of the volunteers to a broader audience, showcasing the importance of environmental stewardship and communal living.
